There's major news for the next 'Star War's film. A milestone has been created and it's not in a galaxy far, far away, but very much on Earth. The 'Star Wars' franchise has grabbed headlines and taken a big step towards diversification by hiring its first-ever African-American female director. Director Ava DuVernay of 'A Wrinkle in Time' made the announcement via her Twitter account of upcoming 'Episode IX' film

and executive producer, J.J. Abrams, hiring Victoria Mahoney as the second unit director for the film. This will make Victoria the first woman of colour to serve as a director in any of the
