'The Spy Who Dumped Me'

, starring Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon, will see two spirited young women breaking bones, firing weapons and escaping death — like it happens in any Bond film!

Writer-turned-director Susanna Fogel says, “This is Bridesmaids meet Bond.”

Keeping in line with the genre of the film, the pacy spy thriller was shot across Europe and the US, in cities like Budapest, Los Angeles, Prague, Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin.

Talking about her character in the film, Mila says, “Audrey is very gun-shy, doesn’t lie well, is nervous and self-conscious, and plays life very safe. Morgan (Kate McKinnon), her counterpart, is exactly the opposite. A struggling actress, she views life as one giant audition. She constantly imitates voices and characters, takes risks and chances, and goes all out. The two of them kind of collide and go on this adventure together.”

The actress adds, “I am a fan of Kate McKinnon. I have always found her brilliant, funny and smart, and I really wanted to work with her. The bonus was that she ended up becoming a really good friend of mine, because she was a good person.” The movie is touted to have it all — action, humour, gorgeous visuals and power-house performances.

'The Spy Who Dumped Me', a Lionsgate film that will be distributed in India by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, releases today.
