About the ‘The Twilight Saga' franchise
Consisting of 5 films in total, the franchise focuses on the life of Bella Swan, who moves to Forks with her father, as her mother goes on a tour with her boyfriend.
At first, things are slow and gloomy; however, she ends up finding Edward at school, whose quiet and mysterious nature ends up drawing her in.
The story then revolves around their relationship after Bella finds out that Edward is a vampire, with other vampires as well as werewolves posing a massive threat to them. Taylor Lautner plays the role of Jacob, a Native American man who lives on the reservation in Forks, and is good friends with Bella. Though he seems to be hiding secrets of his own that are later discovered in the film, exposing him as a werewolf.
The fantasy film is based on the novel works of Stephenie Meyer’s books with the same name, and has been a fan favourite for many people around the world. Other than the main trio, the film consisted of other powerful cast members such as Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone, Justin Chon, Anna Kendrick, and many more.
'The Twilight Saga' TV series is also on the way
Last year in September, it was confirmed that a popular OTT platform had given the green light for the story to be made into an animated TV series. The show is set to follow the plot of ‘Midnight Sun’, the book retelling the entire story, but from Edward Cullen’s perspective and point of view, as opposed to the main book and film series that were told from Bella’s point of view.
