'The Purge 4' gets Summer 2018 release date

Production is planning to unleash the fourth installment in 'The Purge' movie series on July 4 next year.

'The Purge 4' is written by franchise creator

James DeMonaco

. However, it will get someone new to serve behind the

lens

.

They have not yet announced the new director but DeMonaco reportedly will work closely with the producers to find a new helmer for the project.

This will be the first film out of the previous three movies in the series which is not directed by DeMonaco.
