The much-anticipated third season of The Irregular at Magic High School has caused quite a stir with its recent trailer release, setting the stage for an April 2024 premiere. Building on the buzz generated by the return of LiSA to the series, the trailer divulges a treasure trove of details, giving fans a sneak peek into what's in store.
Accompanying the thrilling trailer is the unveiling of the opening theme, "Shouted Serenade," and a captivating new key visual. But that's not all—fresh faces join the cast for this season, adding depth and intrigue to the narrative.
Among the newcomers are Kikunosuke Toya, lending voice to Minoru Kudou, known for his role as Denji in Chainsaw Man; Tatsumaru Tachibana, voicing Takuma Shippou, recognized as Jin Mori in The God of High School; and Hochu Otsuka, taking over the role of Retsu Kudou, previously voiced by the late Motomu Kiyokawa in the first season.
The third season promises to delve into three gripping arcs from the light novel series: the Double Seven arc, the Steeplechase arc, and the Ancient City Insurrection arc, intensifying the drama and adventure.
In a shift of leadership, animation director Jimmy Stone—known for his multifaceted contributions to the anime—steps into the role of series director. Taku Iwasaki is set to work on the music, while the animation continues under the expertise of 8-bit.
