Nicole Kidman will soon be seen in the big-screen adaptation of Donna Tartt’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel ‘The Goldfinch’.

John Crowley, the film features a multigenerational cast led by Ansel as Theo Decker and Nicole as Mrs Barbour. The film traces Theo’s journey from a 13-year-old boy who loses his mother in a bombing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The tragedy changes the course of his life, sending him on a stirring odyssey of grief and guilt, reinvention, redemption, and even love.

Through it all, he holds on to one tangible piece of hope from that fateful day - a painting of a tiny bird chained to its perch called The Goldfinch.
Although the trailer boasts of captivating cinematography and an impressive background score, the buildup almost falls flat by the end of the clip.
Directed by John Crowley the film arrives in cinemas September 27.
