The first look of the leading men in 'The Beatles - A Four-Film Cinematic Event' is finally out, and the internet can't quite get enough of it.
The upcoming four-part biopic on the legendary band, The Beatles, starring
Harris Dickinson as John Lennon,
Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney,
Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, had fans taking a double look on social media when the first look photos were posted online. As per reports, the films that also feature Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, James Norton appearing as Brian Epstein, and Anna Sawai portraying Yoko Ono. It also stars Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd, Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen Starkey, and Harry Lloyd as producer George Martin.
About the films
The ambitious project, directed by Sam Mendes will tell the Beatles' story through four different films, each one focusing on a different member of the band.
When the project was first announced, Mendes said he felt "honoured" to tell the story of one of the greatest bands in music history and wanted to bring something new to the big-screen experience. As reported by Variety, the director shared, I'm honoured to be telling the story of the greatest rock band of all time, and excited to challenge the notion of what constitutes a trip to the movies." The films are written by Jez Butterworth, Peter Straughan, and Jack Thorne.
