Support for Johnny Wactor’s family after tragic shooting: GoFundMe launched

Former "General Hospital" actor Johnny Wactor was tragically shot and killed on Saturday. In response, his godmother, Michaelle Kinard, has set up a GoFundMe campaign to support his family during this difficult time. The fundraiser has been endorsed by Johnny’s mother, Scarlett Wactor, who aims to raise money for travel and other expenses.


Johnny Wactor was fatally shot after finishing a bartending shift in Downtown Los Angeles. He was walking with a female co-worker when he encountered three men attempting to steal the catalytic converter from his car. According to Johnny's brother, Grant Wactor, Johnny initially thought his truck was being towed and asked the men if they were towing it. When he realized what was happening, he moved his co-worker behind him for protection, and that’s when the men shot him.

The GoFundMe campaign's goal is $100,000, and over $35,000 has been raised so far. Kinard wrote on the page, "I want to raise money for his mother, Scarlett, and his brothers, Lance and Grant, to be able to travel the distance of 2,000 miles (the many times it may take) to take care of this heartbreaking business which they have been sentenced." She added that any extra donations will be given to charities chosen by Johnny’s family in his memory.

Kinard expressed her deep sorrow, saying, “My heart is utterly broken. Somehow we NEED justice for Johnny!” She also hopes that the person responsible for Johnny’s death will be arrested soon, as facing the perpetrator might help bring some closure to the family.


The incident has shocked and saddened many, including the "General Hospital" community, who have paid tribute to Johnny Wactor. His family and friends are now seeking justice and trying to navigate through their immense grief.
