Sukhwinder Singh who is known to have sung numerous iconic numbers is all set to make a comeback after 14 years with his independent
music
. Although his Bollywood projects kept him busy all these years, his fans had been missing his independent music. His last album ‘
Nasha Hi Nasha
’ which released in the year 2004 had received immense accolades.
Sukhwinder’s latest single will reportedly be titled ‘Nachungi Saari Raat’, and has been designed by Salim-Sulaiman and arranged by Raj Pandit, with him stepping in as composer and singer.
Sukhwinder spoke to a media portal about the idea which triggered him to compose the track, he said, that he had come across a group of youngsters while he was in Punjab. He had spotted them consuming drugs and he knew that lodging a police complaint will not help them get rid of the addiction. He shared how they asked him as well to try the drugs, but he told them that he was addicted to music.
He later asked them to try a healthier alternative to drugs, which is wine. After a couple of drinks, he revealed that the youngsters seemed to have enjoyed the wine and even promised him not to go back to drugs again. Sukkhi shared that one girl among the youngsters apparently said, “Nachungi Saari Raat” which provoked him to compose the song.
