Suicide Squad Isekai anime set to premiere in July

The eagerly awaited Suicide Squad Isekai Anime made a significant announcement during the stage event at AnimeJapan 2024 held by Warner Bros. Japan and Wit Studio. Revealing the anime's third trailer video, the event disclosed that the series is set to premiere in July, airing on Tokyo MX and BS11.
In addition to the premiere date, it was revealed during the event that the voice recording for the series has been successfully completed, marking another milestone in the production process.

The cast lineup for the anime includes Anna Nagase as Harley Quinn, Yuichiro Umehara as The Joker, Reigo Yamaguchi as Deadshot, Takehito Koyasu as Peacemaker, Jun Fukuyama as Clayface, Subaru Kimura as King Shark, Taku Yashiro as Rick Flag, Kujira as Amanda Waller, Chika Anzai as Katana, Reina Ueda as Fione, Mamiko Noto as Aldora, and Jun Fukushima as Cecil.

In the crime-ridden Gotham city, Amanda Waller, the head of A.R.G.U.S., has assembled a group of notorious criminals for a mission: Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface and King Shark. These DC Super-Villains are sent into an otherworldly realm that's connected to this world through a gate. It's a world of swords and magic where orcs rampage and dragons rule the skies—an “ISEKAI”! Harley and others go on a rampage after arriving in ISEKAI but are captured by the Kingdom's soldiers and sent to prison. They only have 72 hours before the bomb on their neck explodes. The deadline is fast approaching. After negotiations with Queen Aldora, the condition for liberation was the conquest of the hostile Imperial army. They have no choice but to throw themselves head-first into the front line of battle.

Under the direction of Eri Osada (known for works like Jujutsu Kaisen and Gintama), Wit Studio is helming the original anime. Tappei Nagatsuki and Eiji Umehara, both recognized for their work on Vivy Prototype, are penning the scripts. Notably, manga artist Akira Amano, acclaimed for creations like ēlDLIVE and Reborn!, is responsible for the original character designs. Naoto Hosoda, with credits including Seiren and Digimon: The Movie, is tasked with character animation design. Kenichiro Suehiro, known for composing music for Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- and Golden Kamuy, is in charge of the music composition. Warner Bros. Japan's animation producer Shinya Tsuruoka is also onboard.
The opening theme song titled "Another World" will be performed by Tomoyasu Hotei, while the ending theme song "Go-Getters" will be sung by Mori Calliope, as previewed in the released video.
