He was 67.Lake Havasu City police said he died of what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.According to the Arizona police department, officers were dispatched to Sheets’ residence in the early hours of April 22 following a report of a deceased individual. In a statement, police said, "On April 22, 2026, at approximately 0200 hours, officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of Chandler Drive in reference to a reported deceased individual."Sheets was pronounced dead at the scene, Deadline reports.The case has been handed over to the department’s Criminal Investigations Unit, and the body has been transferred to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination. "Additional information will be released as it becomes available,” police said.Born on May 13, 1958, in California, Sheets became a familiar face on the hit show 'Storage Wars', appearing in 163 episodes between 2010 and 2023. The series follows America's epic bidding wars on abandoned storage lockers.
Each episode ends with the winner determined by the profits of the value of items discovered inside the trailer.Following a heart attack in 2019, Sheets largely stepped back from the storage auction business and made only occasional appearances on the show. As per reports, he relocated to Arizona, where he operated an antiques store.
