We’re talking about a new addition to the world of entertainment and glam – Harper Seven Beckham.And she’s going to be a serious competitior to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ fashion conscious toddler – Suri Cruise, who picks out clothes and makeup for herself and her mom. Suri, who is often regarded as the Carrie Bradshaw of her generation, is the proud owner of a shoe collection worth $15,0000 , all at the tender age of 5.
However, a fashion war is in the offing and is being predicted by the fashion critics of many magazines, websites and fashion blogs. And why won’t it? Since Harper’s birth, reports are rife that David and Posh, who have a fortune of £112million, are ensuring that their daughter lands the best dressed spot. Reportedly, Posh has got celebrity footwear designer, Christian Louboutin, to make little booties complete with his trade mark red soles especially for Harper. And Victoria, who wants to get back to her label as soon as possible, doesn’t want her daughter to be a regular Hollywood star baby, but a step ahead – a princess. Friends of the couple have said that the Beckhams want their darling to be an English Rose – prim, proper and elegant, just like the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. So much so that the couple cannot wait for the Duchess who, ever since the royal wedding, has been on every single best dressed list, to meet and bless little Harper soon.
And it can be safely said that given Posh’s skyrocketing style quotient, there is definitely going to be some serious fashion inheritance. According to reports, the Beckhams had splashed almost `1 crore on their daughter’s nursery, wiping out luxury baby boutique Petit Trésor. As for the little one’s attire, Posh has bought a £6,825 (` 4,93,000) cream cupboard with bunnies engraved on it, and the closet is said to be already packed.
A famous stylist and editor, Toni Ferrara had said,“Mini Posh will never miss a stylish step. This girl will catwalk out of the womb with style and grace. With her parents being such fashion icons, style is in this baby’s DNA.” Well, Suri better watch out as there’s a new diva in town.
