Separated, divorced, so what? Celebs still choose to sport their wedding bling

In the Hollywood based celebrity world, wedding rings are used as huge statements. Even before a star confirms a wedding or a breakup, the paparazzi get to know of it, thanks to the bling sported and flashed by the celebrity or his or her significant other. In recent times, many a celebrity wedding and engagement announcements have been made simply by posting the picture of a ring on the correct finger, through various social networking sites or by stepping out casually wearing one.
Therefore the latest trend among celebs to lose the relationship yet flaunt the ring is quite amusing to say the least. We tell you of Hollywood and other A-listers who have in the recent times, parted ways with their significant other but held on tightly to their wedding bling.

LAMAR ODOM KHLOE KARDASHIAN
While Khloe and Lamar filed for divorce in December 2013 and had it finalised after more than a year in July this year, Lamar is another one of the celebrities known to hold on to his wedding bling much after the relationship ceased to exist. Even though Khloe's ring came off soon after the relationship degenerated, Lamar was seen sporting his ring till as late as February 2015. A source close to the player said that Lamar was holding on to it as it's a beautiful ring that he likes a lot and one that reminds him of good times. The couple that got married in 2009, headed for separation owing to Lamar's habit of substance abuse and him cheating on Khloe.
GAVIN ROSSDALE GWEN STEFANI
Gwen and Gavin decided to call it quits after being married for 13 long years. The couple that has three sons together, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo, apparently split because Gwen believed that Gavin was cheating on her.Even after the divorce papers were filed from both the sides earlier this month, Gavin and Gwen have been seen sporting their wedding bands. While Gavin continues to do so, Gwen was seen without hers for the first time this weekend when she was spotted with her boys in California.
ANTONIO BANDERAS MELANIE GRIFFITH
The actor power couple that had been married for 18 years, filed for divorce in June 2014 which was finalised in July this year. Even after filing for divorce, Melanie continued to wear her wedding band which only came off sometime later and coincided with the news of Antonio getting cozy with Mallika Sherawat at the Cannes Film Festival that year. While the split was an amicable one, sources close to Melanie said that she was aghast with Antonio embarrassing her with this dalliance so soon after their separation.
JAMIE HINCE KATE MOSS
Just last week, international supermodel Kate Moss, while holidaying in Portofino, was seen with her wedding ring amidst rumours that she and Jamie Hince are headed for splitsville, for sure. The rumours of their split emerged last month. While neither confirmed nor denied the reports, Jamie was seen getting cozy with model Jessica Stam earlier this month. Rumour mills are abuzz with their impending separation also because the couple has not been pictured together since April this year.
JENNIFER GARNER BEN AFFLECK
Jen and Ben who are in the midst of a very public divorce, allegedly involving their ex-nanny and Ben's hard drinking and gambling issues,have not been on talking terms but have had their wedding bands intact. The couple that has been frequently seen together, in tow with their children, is said to be continuing wearing the wedding bands for the sake of their three children, Seraphina, Violet and Samuel. At a recent Disneyland outing, the couple who are said to be communicating only via text even while in close proximity of one another, looked horribly glum. This weekend, for the first time in two months since their split was announced,both Jen and Ben were spotted separately without their wedding rings. Whether the rings are gone temporarily or for good is yet to be seen.

CHRIS MARTIN GWYNETH PALTROW
The consciously uncoupling couple's wedding bands kept coming on and off regularly. While Gwyneth took off the wedding ring post their separation, she put it back on time and again, spotted in pictures shared by her on micro-blogging sites and clicked by the paparazzi. The couple that has two children, Apple and Moses, filed for divorce in April 2015, a year after they decided to consciously uncouple, during which they sported their rings most of the time.
HEIDI KLUM SEAL
Super model Heidi Klum and Seal decided to separate in January 2012, with the divorce getting finalised in October 2014. The couple that had been together for eight years and has four children, chose to keep their wedding bands on for quite some time. Speaking about choosing to continue wearing the wedding ring, Seal said during an interview, "Just because we have decided to separate doesn't necessarily mean you take off your ring and you're no longer connected to that person."
