Sam Neill Shares Brave Update on his Cancer battle

Hollywood legend Sam Neill has opened up about his ongoing battle with cancer, acknowledging that it’s a fight he knows he’ll eventually lose. The 76-year-old actor, known for iconic roles in movies like “Jurassic Park,” has been very vocal about his health journey

Last year, Neill revealed that he was grappling with angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma, a rare form of blood cancer. Despite undergoing chemotherapy, the treatment didn’t yield the desired results. His doctor then switched him to an anti-cancer drug, which has granted him more than 12 months of remission. However, Neill is well aware that this reprieve won’t last forever.

In an interview with The Herald Sun, Neill shared how the treatment regimen impacts his life. “Every second week, it’s a case of forgetting about the weekend because that would be a bit grim,” he explained. Yet, he remains grateful for life’s simple pleasures, including being able to work and enjoy beautiful places like York.

Neill’s resilience shines through as he faces the inevitable. He once stated that while he isn’t afraid of death, he’d be “annoyed” by it because he still has much left to achieve. His memoir, in particular, is a project he hopes won’t be overshadowed by his health battle.
