The 35-year-old actor has joined Brad Pitt and Tommy Lee Jones in New Regency's project. Negga's role, however, is being kept under wraps for now.

The film, written by

is described as an adventure story about a man's journey across a lawless and unforgiving solar system to find his missing father, a renegade scientist who poses a threat to all of mankind. Pitt, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner are producing the film.
