Madonna is one pop diva who's done it all. Screening her film Filth and Wisdom in the Berlinale in 2008, Madonna's film got mostly negative reviews. The film, which revolved around four central characters and their struggle to handle a `good' life and `money' didn't strike a chord with the audience.
FRED DURST ( 2007) FILM: THE EDUCATION OF CHARLIE BANKS
Fred, lead singer of Limp Bizkit, is no stranger to being the man behind the camera since he was actively involved in directing Limp Bizkit song videos too. Fred made his directorial debut with The Education of Charlie Banks, which received positive reviews. Since then he's directed two more films.
RAY MANZAREK (2000) FILM: LOVE HER MADLY
Ray met Jim Morrison at a film school to create The Doors and that's where the story started. Since then, Ray was active in handling the camera creating various tour videos, but it was his greater aspiration of being a filmmaker that had his dreams shattered since his debut, Love Her Madly failed to impress even their fans.
FRANK ZAPA (1987) FILM: UNCLE MEAT
Frank, who openly spoke against organized religion, and modern education system supporting freedom of speech and self-education, released his first documentary styled unfinished film Uncle Meat in 1968. It was only in 1971, that his dream project, a surreal musical that saw the day of light.
PRINCE (1984) FILM: PURPLE RAIN
Prince, as most say , went on to make one films too many . His first venture as a co-director, Purple Rain, was a success, getting positive reviews. But when he took matters in his own hand singlehandedly directing the entire feature, he failed to create the magic and had two disastrous outings later.
