Renée (TOI Photo)Renée Zellweger’s cosy night in was ruined when a ‘truckload’ of fire-fighters burst into her apartment. The Cold Mountain actress was feeling the chill and decided to use the fireplace in her luxurious New York apartment, but alarmed neighbours smelled smoke coming from her floor and phoned the emergency services.
A source says, “A truckload of fire-fighters arrived at Renée’s apartment. They came and put out the contained fire in her fireplace. It seemed very unnecessary, but maybe because it is so early in the season, the neighbour was concerned.” Renée was said to be startled by the sudden arrival of the fire-fighters, but laughed and joked with the men while they checked her apartment.
