Reminiscing the moment when Halle Bailey mentioned that DDG was among the 'young Black creators' that had influenced her in the past

The most recent celebrity pair to break up is Halle Bailey and DDG, who just called it quits on their romance. Before formally announcing their split, they had a son and spent almost two years together. Let's go back to the moment when the Little Mermaid actress declared her love for DDG and called him her inspiration, even though it came as a surprise.

After years of studying DDG's work, Halle Bailey declared in a 2022 Essence interview that she is in fact in love with him.

"I grew up being on YouTube and would always see the young Black creators and was constantly inspired by them," the singer and actress said in her September/October cover story for the publication. He belonged to that group.

Halle Bailey continued, saying that she had entirely forgotten about him but that she quickly became aware of him when the musician from Moonwalking in Calabasas began releasing amazing music.

The Wonder What She Thinks of Me singer claims that at this point, she was drawn to a DDG song, and "coincidentally he messaged me—and the rest is history."



Straight Outta Pontiac revealed their partnership in March of that same year. DDG honored the singer of the song "Don't Make It Harder On Me" on her birthday by sharing his feelings on Instagram.

In 2023, Halle Bailey and DDG welcomed a boy named Halo, despite the fact that they had a terrific time together. DDG recently revealed his breakup with Halle Bailey in an Instagram post.

"After thoughtful consideration and emotional discussions, Halle and I have made the decision to part ways," the message stated.



The choice was the best for them both as they went forward in life, he continued, even though it was difficult for any of the parties involved. DDG even said that he loved their love as a pair and admired the time they spent together.

The musician ended his statement by requesting his followers to be there for them during their most trying times.
