The family gave an insight into his health and that he is recovering well. “Quinton is in a jovial mood, now laughing and smiling, and is communicating to the best of his ability while he continues to recover.” The family also shared that Aaron watched TV and is “getting ready to root for his favorite team this weekend.”

Aaron's recovery comes after a fall in his home on January 26, following which he had been admitted to the hospital and placed on life support, as Margarita, his wife, told TMZ. After fans showed support to Aaron, his loved ones shared how much public support has meant to them during the difficult time. “We acknowledge that you’ve heard about Quinton Aaron‘s condition,” the family said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE on January 29.
“We appreciate the overwhelming love, support, and prayers that Quinton has received over the past few days from his fans, the public, and our concerned community,” they added.

Following news of his hospitalization, Quinton’s on-screen family also spoke out about his health. His ‘Blind Side’ co-star Jae Head reflected on the pair’s tight bond after learning of his friend’s condition. Jae, who played S.J. Tuohy in the film, shared playful snaps of them together in a January 26 Instagram post. He wrote, “Yesterday I got a call that Quinton is in the hospital in the ICU because he passed out at home and is in pretty bad shape.” He urged fans to pray for his well-being. “Q is one of the nicest people I’ve ever had the opportunity to meet. He’s one of my best friends. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers,” the actor added. As the actor recovers, his family has promised to keep fans updated.
