“Though I’m extremely thankful to Indian and UP government for their support, and I’m truly amazed with the beauty of Mughal era mausoleum Taj Mahal,” he added.
The actor arrived in New Delhi from London on Saturday by the 1.30am British Airways flight, only to learn that the e-visa he had applied for on November 30 had been rejected.
The Foreigner Regional Registration Offices (FRRO) officer followed protocol and Bloom was deported back to the UK by the 4am British Airways flight.

Orlando Bloom who supposedly had plans to spend Christmas in India was on extended invitation by the UP government, as to be the state guest.

While thanking Swaraj for her intervention, Singh said, “Sushma ji was very kind and her prompt action helped Orlando to return India after deportation. I’m also thankful to Salman Khurshid who too help us in the unprecedented crisis.”
Singh added, “Even though I haven’t seen much movie of Orlando but my nephew and CM of UP Akhilesh Yadav has. And under his regime, tourism in UP has touched new heights. Area around Taj Mahal looks more beautiful and appealing due to his initiatives.”
