Emily Bader, who star together in the drama film, have been garnering a lot of praise online. In a recent interview, while talking about working on the film, Gage ended up singing his co-star’s praises to everyone.

Lukas Gage praises Emily Bader
In an interview with People during the LA premiere of his film at the Egyptian Theatre, Lukas Gage had nothing but good things to say about Bader. The star praised Tom Blythe and Emily Bader for their performance in the film and shared how excited he had been to work on the project.
While talking about Bader, he stated that, “I knew that Brett Haley was directing, who I’m such a fan of, and then Emily Bader, who is the biggest star in the world - the world doesn't know it yet, [but] after this movie, she’s going to be.” He also added that both of the leading actors were simply “incredible” to work with.
Lukas Gage talks about landing the project
During the interview, the star shared how excited he was for the project in the first place. He also added that it was exhilarating to be a part of something that already had so many fans. “It’s so crazy to be on something with such a huge fan base, and you want to give it justice and you want to make sure that your portrayal of this character is what people envision in their head when they read the book,” he quipped.
Tom Blythe also sings Emily Bader’s praises
During an interview with the same publication, lead star of ‘The People We Meet On Vacation’, Tom Blythe, also praised Bader’s skills. He said that “She's got that quality where she can be going off the rails and you still are just so enamored by her. She's so endearing, and she's so playful within the language of the script, and I think she's going to really do justice to the character.” He also said that Bader is the “new Meg Ryan.”

The drama has been adapted from the book of the same name by author Emily Henry. The premise of the film follows Poppy and Alex on their journey to love. Poppy is all about exploring and being adventurous; however, Alex is the introverted type who would rather stay at home. The two have a pact though, they always spend a week of their summer vacations together to reminisce and reconnect every year.
Other than Gage, Bader, and Blythe, the OTT film also stars Jameela Jamil, Sarah Catherine Hook, Lucien Laviscount, Alan Ruck, and Molly Shannon. The film is now available for streaming on Netflix.
