Harrison Ford will not face any punishment after the

Hollywood

veteran mistakenly landed his private plane on a taxiway in February this year.

The 74-year-old legend will not be fined after an investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) concluded that 'no administrative or enforcement action was warranted', when he landed escaping an incident on

Santa Ana

, Orange County Airport.


Ford's attorney

Stephen Hofer

said, "The FAA conducted a full investigation into the matter, including an interview with Mr Ford, and determined that no administrative or enforcement action was warranted. Mr Ford retains his pilot's certificate without restriction."

He added that the agency considered Ford's 'long history of compliance' and his 'cooperative attitude' during the investigation in closing the matter.

Ford had another close call when he crash-landed a World War II-era vintage plane on

in 2015 after its engine failed upon take off.
