New short film Carl’s Date, based on 2009 film, Up has left fans excited and emotional for its premiere
Pixar Animation Studios has made it official that they will be releasing a new short film called Carl’s Date, which is based on the 2009 film, Up. It will screen right before the film Elemental, which will be released in theatres on June 16. Up, the much acclaimed 2009 film was about Carl, an old widower, who goes off on an adventure in his flying house in search of Paradise Falls, his wife's dream destination.

Carl’s Date has got fans of Up very emotional and nostalgic about the to-be-released short film. It will be a spinoff of the 2009 film Up, which was very well received at the worldwide box office, turning out to be the sixth highest grossing film that year. It also won several awards, including nominations at the Oscars and Golden Globes.
The animated film won over viewers with its beautiful depiction of loss, friendship and moving on despite the present circumstances of life.
