Pop: No 80s music playlist can be complete without a song or three from this band. They are a group that can be immediately associated with more than a few classic tracks from that time. To name a few, 'Over My Shoulder', 'The Living Years' and 'Word of Mouth' are just three tracks that are evergreen. For those who came in late, this group was started by Genesis guitarist Mike Rutherford in the mid-1980s as a side project to keep himself occupied between Genesis albums. And while he could never even remotely match fellow Genesis band-mate Phil Collins' solo success over the years, the tunes that this group put out made for a generous collection of radio-friendly songs that still sound good today. 'Silent Running, All I Need Is A Miracle' and 'Nobody's Perfect' are stellar examples of that. There's some filler on this disc too though as some of the other tracks are less engaging. But the unreleased track 'One By One' (featuring Paul Carrack and Paul Young) is also worth a listen as is the acoustic 'My Crime Of Passion'. Their sound is reminiscent of the group's many strengths and that sunshine-like 80s sound.
