Cyrus opened up about her early days on tour, revealing that the Jonas Brothers only joined her on tour, because of her relationship with Nick, at the time. Revealing details about how her crush on Nick and desire to stay close to him, played a role in the tour arrangements. She said, "The reason that the Jonas Brothers were on tour with me was because Nick was my boyfriend, and I wanted to not leave my boyfriend. So I'd be like, ‘I'll go on tour if my boyfriend can come.’ And they're like, ‘you want your boyfriend to open for the show?’ Boom!"
