It's Met Gala time! The first Monday in May is finally upon us and celebrities from film, fashion, music, sports, politics and social media, are set to enchant viewers with their outfits that highlight this year's theme "The Garden of Time".All eyes will turn to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City where stars will arrive in gowns galore that best interpret J.G. Ballard's 1962 short story. While the theme can be interpreted in various ways, it's likely it will not be about Disney princesses, but rather creations inspired by plants, flowers and other botanicals as celebrity guests ascend the iconic stairs of the Met. This year's co-chairs for the gala include Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth, who is making his debut. The livestream of the event will begin at 3.30 am IST. Fans in India will have some familiar faces to watch out for. One in particular is Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt, who is set to return to the Met for the second year in a row. Last year, the actress made her Met Gala debut in a stunning white couture gown by Prabal Gurung that was covered in pearls. Keeping to the theme that honoured the legacy of designer Karl Lagerfeld, she wore an edgy fingerless glove. The guest list for the Gala is always kept under wraps, but rumours spread about attendees and celebrities themselves confirming their attendance in the days leading up to the big event.
