Matthew Perry's Heartfelt Last Message to Ex Girlfriend Ione Skye Revealed in New Memoir

The ‘Friends’ fame star Matthew Perry, who passed away at the age of 54 in October 2023, just a few days before his demise, sent an emotional message to his ex, Ione Skye. Through the message he reflected on their past relationship that Skye has since described as "wild."

Skye in her new memoir titled, ‘Say Everything’ shared the Perry in his text wrote - “Hi! I hope all is well. I was meditating (I meditate now) and "In Your Eyes" started playing. And I instantly thought of you and how beautiful you are . . . I hope you are healthy and happy."

Speaking to The Mirror US, Skye shared it was very out of the blue kind of text. She said, “Anyone who's despairing, it's just the worst. And so I'm just like, 'This is horrible.'"

“And the thought of people can't get out of those periods. It just, I feel for anyone like that," she added.

Further, while talking about Perry’s last message, she explained it was wild “because every once in a while we text, but that was really out of the blue. So I was really surprised." She was even happy to see the text as it was such a warm gesture.

However, when Perry reached out to Skye, she didn't call him back, something that she now regrets. “But no one talked on the phone anymore. So, after a brief, sweet text exchange, we signed off as friends," she mentioned in her memoir.

Matthew Perry and Ione Skye met for the first time when they were just teenagers. According to Ione Skye, the time they spent together was all things beautiful.
