Matt Dillon has been roped in to play the lead role in the heist thriller Armored.
The film, to be directed by Nimrod Antal, centres on an armoured car guard (Dillon) who is persuaded by his veteran cohorts to empty the truck of its 10 million dollars.
James V Simpson has written the screenplay for the movie, which also stars Columbus Short.
The producers include Sam Raimi, Josh Donen and Dan Farah, while the executive producers are Chris Lemos and Luis Guerrero. Clint Culpepper and Eric Paquette will oversee the project for the studio. Shooting of the film is scheduled to kick off later this year.
