'Mad Max: Fury Road' bags 6 Oscars this year!

Mad Max: Fury Road,' George Miller's action film, swept the technical awards section at the 88th Oscars. Produced by Australian director-producer George Miller, the film dominated the first half of the ceremony, bagging six out of the 10 awards it was nominated in.

The film has broken the record of the maximum Oscars won by an Australian film. The record was previously held by 'The Piano', which had won 3 Oscars in 1993.

'Mad Max' won the award for Best Costume Design, Production Design, Makeup and Hairstyling, Editing, Sound Editing and Sound Mixing.

beauty Priyanka Chopra, along with Hollywood actor Liev Schreiber, gave away the Best Film Editing award to the film at the ceremony today. With all these awards, 'Mad Max: Fury Road' has ensured that Australia has hauled the maximum number of Oscars this year!
