The 77th Golden Globes 2020 are all set to take place on January 5 and the recent announcement about a certain change has left many fans impressed. In fact, Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio has expressed his appreciation as well. The Golden Globes kick off the awards season in the West and are counted among the most popular awards.
A recent report said that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has decided to change the food menu for this show this time.

The organisation will only serve plant-based meals, which means the Golden Globes 2020 the first big award show go completely vegan. While the menu comprised fish dishes previously, it has now been revealed that an appetiser of chilled golden beet soup with locally grown chervil and amaranth and a main dish of king oyster mushrooms cooked and presented to call to mind scallops, with wild-mushroom risotto, roasted baby purple and green Brussels sprouts, globe carrots and pea tendrils will be served.
As soon as the news came out, Leonardo tweeted his appreciation and praised the organisation to abstain from serving meat at the award show. The actor, who often shares his views about the environment and is known for his sustainability efforts retweeted the original post and wrote, ‘Thank you HFPA @goldenglobes’ along with a clapping emoji.
