Kristin in city this weekend
Last year it was First Lady Carla Bruni’s actress sister Valeria Bruni Tedeschi who was the chief attraction at the French Rendezvous in India. This year the French have done better.
When the delegation comes to Mumbai this weekend, British actress Kristin Scott Thomas will accompany them. She is a respected name in Hollywood and has played the lead in films like Four Weddings and a Funeral, Bitter Moon, Horse Whisperer and Confessions of a Shopaholic.

According to a source, the 50-year-old actress, who is now a French national, is very excited about her trip to Mumbai. The delegation will be staying at the Taj Mahal Hotel, Colaba. “Post 26/11 there is a huge curiosity about the Taj,” says the source. Kristin will introduce two of her latest French films, Love Crime (Crime d’Amour) and Sarah’s Key (Elle s’appelait Sarah), to the local audience.
“Many of the other French artistes who are also part of this Rendezvous are also excited about their trip to Mumbai. However, all aren’t fluent in English. Kristin, who is English, is looking forward to her interaction with the Indian media,” says the lady who will accompany the actress.
