Kim Kardashian’s six-year-old version

Reality television just hit the low everyone’s being waiting for
Kim Kardashian’s six-year-old version
A six-year-old is giving the Kardashians, the Jersey Shore-ians and all the Real Housewives across New Jersey a run for their money.
If you’ve heard about the show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, you will know what we mean by the statement. However, if you have somehow escaped the media and internet frenzy surrounding this tubby child, here’s everything you need to know about her:
What in the name of Dickens is a Honey Boo Boo child? It’s the nickname that a Toddlers and Tiaras contestant, Alana Thompson, gave herself.
1x1 polls
Oxymoronic though the terms ‘toddlers’ and ‘tiaras’ may be, children like Honey Boo Boo, who were a part of this TV show, were required to doll up for child beauty pageants, while their over-ambitious moms pushed them to wear stripper-like outfits and garish makeup to win that tiara. Boo soon overshadowed her fellow contestants and gained the spotlight for being, well, not-so-classy, and hence, hilarious. Besides unclassy, other words that have been used to describe Alana are ‘funny’, ‘disturbing’ and ‘strange’ – which, as we all know – are the key ingredients to any reality show’s success. And so, Boo got her very own show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
Who is Honey Boo Boo’s mother? Julie Shannon, 33. That she has a police record shouldn’t come as a surprise after the above para. Julie is known to yell stuff like “Show them your belly!” to her daughter during rehearsals. Besides the mom, Boo’s family contains specimens like Alana’s dad (Sugar Bear), and sisters Lauryn (Pumpkin), 12, Jessica (Chubbs), 15, and Anna (Chickadee), 17 and pregnant.
What are the critics’ reactions to the TV show? Have been unfavourable, of course. While some called it “a horror show posing as reality television”, others called it the “best worst thing ever”. Lisa Belkin of the Huffington Post said, “I don’t think people are watching them as role models. I think people are watching them to laugh… And it shouldn’t be fun to watch. I’m not quite sure how we got there.”
