Kathryn Bigelow to develop Jihadi recruitment drama

Director Kathryn Bigelow is developing a Jihadi recruitment drama for HBO.

The 64-year-old Zero Dark Thirty filmmaker will join hands with rapper rapper/poet K'naan Warsame, who will pen the script, exec produce and direct the potential series, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Titled The Recruiters , the drama is set in Minnesota and "will draw open an iron curtain behind which viewers will see the highly impenetrable world of Jihadi recruitment."
The Oscar-winning filmmaker and former HBO president Carolyn Strauss also will exec produce.
Bigelow had previously directed the 2010 drama pilot The Miraculous Yearfor the channel.
