Kanye West names new album 'Bully' after eye-opening moment with son Saint

Kanye West recently shared that his 9-year-old son, Saint, played a big role in inspiring the title of his upcoming album, Bully. During a conversation with rapper Justin Laboy, West recalled a specific incident with Saint that led him to think more deeply about the idea of bullying.

West explained that Saint had been playing with another child when he suddenly kicked him. Curious about why his son behaved that way, West questioned him. Saint’s response took him by surprise—he simply said that he did it because the other child was "weak." This unexpected answer made West reflect on the concept of bullying, ultimately leading to the name of his new album.

The rapper, who shares four children with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian—North (11), Saint (9), Chicago (7), and Psalm (5)—has remained actively involved in their lives despite his split from Kardashian in 2021. He continues to co-parent with her while also spending quality time with his kids.

West’s latest album, Bully, is scheduled to be released on the day his eldest daughter, North, turns 11. It marks his first album in over three years, making it highly anticipated among fans. Throughout his career, West has often drawn inspiration from his personal experiences, and this time, his role as a father played a crucial part in shaping his creative direction.

In the past, West has shared special moments with his children at public events. When he attended a listening event for Vultures 2 in Hainan, China, he brought his kids on stage, allowing them to be part of the experience. Videos from the event, which circulated online, showed his children waving at the audience, holding hands, and even dancing alongside their father.

Meanwhile, his daughter North has expressed admiration for her father's sense of style. In a past interview, she revealed that her fashion inspiration comes from a mix of streetwear and ’90s influences, mentioning artists like Tyler, the Creator, as well as West himself.

As West prepares to drop Bully, his personal life and experiences as a father continue to influence his music, making it a reflection of both his artistic vision and his journey as a parent.
