Justin Theroux admits he's still 'protective' of Jennifer Aniston; reveals 'She's very dear to me'

Justin Theroux reveals that ex-wife Jennifer Aniston remains "very dear" to him, even six years after their split. In a recent chat with The Times about his new film, the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice star reflected on his past relationship with the 55-year-old actress, sharing a heartfelt glimpse into their enduring connection.

The former couple started dating in 2011 and got engaged the next year. They married in a backyard ceremony in August 2015, but announced their split in early 2018.

Since their divorce, Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston have remained close friends. In the interview, the 53-year-old actor reaffirmed their strong bond, stating, “She is still very dear to me.”



Theroux also commented on Jennifer Aniston's recent response to Sen. JD Vance’s 2021 remarks about women like Vice President Kamala Harris, who have not had children. Vance had called them “childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives,” a statement Aniston addressed publicly.Theroux expressed his protective feelings towards Aniston and praised her for addressing the criticism directed at her. He acknowledged that she effectively defended herself against the remarks.



Theroux is currently engaged to Nicole Brydon Bloom, having proposed in late August while in Italy. Bloom, 30, flaunted her stunning engagement ring on the red carpet at the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice premiere during the Venice Film Festival.
