Justin Baldoni has claimed that his co-star
Blake Lively tried to stop him and his team from attending the premiere of It Ends With Us in August, as tensions between them grew. The Jane the Virgin actor, who is facing accusations of sexual harassment and defamation from Lively, filed a $250 million lawsuit against the New York Times on December 31, 2024.
In his lawsuit, Baldoni stated that Lively “refused to allow him” to attend the premiere in an attempt to “undermine” his work as director, executive producer, and actor.

Legal documents obtained by The Post revealed that Lively only allowed Baldoni and his team to attend after facing “significant pressure,” but with what were called “humiliating conditions.”
The documents claim that Baldoni, producer Jamey Heath, and other Wayfarer Studio team members were separated from the main cast and kept out of the exclusive after-party. Instead, they had to organize and pay for their own event. Baldoni’s time on the red carpet was reportedly “cut short,” and his family and friends were kept in a basement holding area before being escorted to a different theater after Lively left.
The Five Feet Apart director accused Lively of not only pushing him aside at the premiere but also taking control of the film and preventing him and his team from celebrating their contributions. Baldoni argued that these actions were part of Lively’s alleged effort to reduce his role in the film’s promotion and harm his career.
The lawsuit further claimed that Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios became increasingly worried about what Lively and Reynolds might do, as their actions appeared to be focused on damaging Baldoni’s career and personal life.
Baldoni also accused Lively’s husband, actor
Ryan Reynolds, of having an "aggressive" confrontation with him, where he allegedly accused Baldoni of "fat-shaming" Lively and pressured Baldoni’s agent to sever ties with him. However, WME, the agency representing Lively, Reynolds, and previously Baldoni, denied these claims.
