Jonathan Majors set for movie comeback after 2023 assault conviction and Marvel exit
Jonathan Majors, formerly a rising Marvel star, is returning to the screen in a new action movie now filming in South Carolina. The project marks his first major role since his assault conviction, which led to significant career fallout, including his removal from the high-profile role of Kang in the Marvel franchise.
Jonathan Majors, best known for playing the role of Kang in the Marvel Cinematic universe, has taken on a new acting project, four years after his infamous assault conviction. The title and plot have not yet been released, but reports describe it as an action movie. According to reports, the actor has commenced shooting for the film in South Carolina, officially marking his comeback after a halted career. Following the controversy over the assault allegations and subsequently being found guilty, Majors lost out on several acting roles and offers. Marvel Studios famously changed the planned Multiverse Saga after dropping him as the supervillain Kang, who was set to feature in both the upcoming 'Avengers' movies.
