. Last year, at a wrestling event, John had gone down on one knee and proposed to Nikki in front of thousands of fans as she said ‘Yes!’ It was a jolt to fans who heard of their decision to part ways.
Confirming the news, their rep said that the two had announced their decision to separate as a couple after much contemplation and six years of being together. Nikki also shared their joint statement on Instagram with a caption ‘We love you all’. The joint statement reads as, “While this decision was a difficult one, we continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another. We ask that you respect our privacy during this time in our lives.” Cena, however, who is known to upload cryptic Instagram posts, wrote, “Worst Day Ever!”
