With

‘Avengers: Endgame’

months away from release, excitement among fans is increasing day by day. Every little bit of news associated with the film is lapped up eagerly by fans, who dissect and discuss it animatedly. And now, to poke a little fun at overzealous fans,

Joe and Anthony Russo

, the directors of the film (as well as ‘Avengers: Infinity War’), updated their social media profile picture as an ode to Marvel fans across the globe. They revealed a new photoshopped profile picture which Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman had uploaded on Christmas. The cheeky brothers labelled their own names on Gyllenhaal and Jackman, while the not-very-amused Ryan Reynolds was labelled ‘fans’. The original picture had Gyllenhaal and Jackman laughing at Reynolds.

Often known to tease fans with hidden messages on their social media pages, the

Russo brothers

had posted a cryptic image that was taken on the sets of the latest film and asked fans to ‘look hard’. Another time, they had temporarily changed their profile pictures to an artwork featuring Captain Marvel that was created by a fan, making fans wonder if Brie Larson would make a cameo in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’.
While the first trailer of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ was unveiled recently, the team is busy working on the post production of the magnum opus that releases in April next year. The film, which will be the fourth and last in this franchise, is said to be almost three hours long and stars Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner and Scarlett Johansson, among other popular stars.
