'Hulk' star Jennifer Connelly, who has lent her voice for Oscar-nominated Shane Acker's animated movie '9', had to cover her six-year-old son's eyes while watching some parts of the film. "It is a little scary for my six-year-old son. I let him watch parts of it and had to close his eyes for some of the scarier moments," the 'Blood Diamond' actress said.
The movie is based on director Shane Acker's Oscar-nominated short film of the same name, having characters named from one to nine.
Connelly, who is speaking for the character seven, says that the film is for not for too young children.
"It depends on the age. I think it's rated PG-13. Certainly for slightly older kids. My 12-year-old saw it and loves it. It's judge for yourself, but certainly for him it was sort of pitch perfect," Connelly said in a statement.
Burton, who has won multiple Oscars for films like 'Ed Wood' and 'Batman', is producing the movie alongwith Timur Bekmambetov. The 51-year-old producer-director said that the character of seven is his favourite.
"7 is my favourite in terms of poses struck. Growing up on martial arts movies, 7's got that real Bruce Lee kind of quality that is just really strong," said Burton.
