Jackman almost lost Wolverine role
Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman has revealed that his hair perm almost made him lose his action-packed role in ‘Wolverine’.
Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman has revealed that his hair perm almost made him lose his action-packed role in ���Wolverine���.
Jackman, who had got the perm for his role in a musical called Curly in Oklahoma, revealed that his perm put off Dougray Scott, the casting director of Wolverine.
"I was doing a musical in London at the time, playing Curly in Oklahoma - so I had a perm in my hair,��� Contactmusic quoted him as saying.
"So I put the hat on to do the audition and about halfway through, the casting director was like, ���That was great, could you do one without the hat? I can���t really see Wolverine wearing a baseball cap. I took it off and I read about two lines and she goes, ���Cut, put the hat on - now!���" he added.
However, luck favoured Jackman when filming of Mission Impossible overran and Scott was asked to complete the flick first, that is when Jackman re-auditioned and the rest is history.
