Hong Kong superstar Jackie Chan was conferred the "Datuk" title at a ceremony in Malaysia.
Chan, 60, was addressed by the name Chan Song Kang during the ceremony, which was held in conjunction with Federal Territory Day. His real name is Chan Kong Sang.

Datuk is a traditional Malay honorific title commonly used in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei. Its variant is Dato and its equivalent is Datu in the Philippines.

The action star is best known for his films like 'Rush Hour', 'Police Story' and 'The Myth'. He is currently busy in promoting film 'Dragon Blade' with his co-stars John Cusack, Adrien Brody, Choi Siwon, Lin Peng and Wang Ruo Xin.
In 2008, Malacca state conferred Datuk title on Bollywood heartthrob Shah Rukh Khan, who has a huge fan following in the country especially among the Malays.
