International celebrities who placed gag orders on their exes

A variety of celeb couples abroad who have parted ways have had their lawyers place gag orders on their exes because thy do not want their former partners cashing in on the ‘juicy details’ of their time together for financial gain or other reasons. Most recently, Mariah Carey placed a gag order on her ex, Nick Cannon. Here’s looking at a few more cases.

Kelsey Grammer and Real Housewives star Camille
The usually reticent actor reportedly got into a huff when Camille allowed the US paparazzi to photograph and speak to one of their sons, Jude (the other being Mason).The incident occurred during a reportedly harmless and brief Q&A session with the paps. It prompted Grammer to approach the courts to get a gag order imposed on her. Apart from that, in the ensuing custody battle, Grammer also won the custody battle over their kids.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon
It was reported in the US media that a category in the divorce settlement thrashed out between Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey’s lawyers says that Cannon could face “serious financial penalties” if he spills the beans on
matters that occurred both in and out of ther marital boudoir. However, no mention has been made as to whether the same applies for Mariah. Carey was apparently upset when Cannon leaked some details to the foreign press. A source told a US TV channel: “She can’t believe he went and did that. Not what they had agreed on and it was not classy. He was not supposed to say a word. She thinks it was extremely childish, impulsive and
opportunistic. For her, it was the last straw.” Carey has certainly been keeping her legal eagles busy.

David Bowie and Angela Bowie
This one is more to do about what David Bowie’s ex-wife Angela either saw (or notI) when she walked into a room at their house to find David allegedly ‘keeping company’ with Mick Jagger . After Bowie divorced Angie to marry the fashion model Iman, he had a gag order placed on her preventing her from speaking about the incident for ten years.

Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva
Their split was a messy one, with Gibson’s phone rants making their way to the internet for all to hear. There was also the obligatory gag order placed on her as part of the settlement regarding revealing any more gruesome details. However, Grigorieva reportedly lost the settlement after she violatedthose terms by describing her relationship with the actor as “painful and dark” during a Howard Stern interview.
