Hollywood actor Stephanie March stood mesmerized on the ghats, before going for a boat ride across the river Ganga, for the famous Subah-e-Banaras, on Thursday. On her first visit to Varanasi, the actor of Mr And Mrs Smith fame, in which she starred with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, spent some time on the ghat watching the rituals in awe.
“It is an amazing experience, so peaceful.

I also went for the Ganga Aarti last evening, which was special for me as I dedicated it to my aunt who passed away recently,” says the actor who wishes to explore the city during her three-day stay. Stephanie was in Amritsar before she landed in Varanasi.
Mention Bollywood to her and her face lights up instantly. “I love Hindi films. Recently I saw Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and I should say that it was one of the finest films that I have seen in recent times. Farhan Akhtar is really good in the film,” she quips, surprising you with her familiarity with the Indian film industry.
With several cross-over films happening in India the actor is open to working in being part of the trend. I would love to work in such a film, especially if it stars Farhan Akhtar, who is my current favourite,” says Stephanie with a smile and heads for the boat ride.
