After failing to deliver with Wolverine’s origin story, the makers of the X-Men series decided to give the original franchise a prequel. Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw, January Jones as Emma Frost and Oliver Platt as the Man in Black.

But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of the Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan (Reynolds), a gifted and cocky test pilot.
