Hollywood movie posters spread Christmas cheer
Three very different films have one sentiment in common. In this case, it's the holiday spirit.
The first, is Kimberly Pierce's Carrie adaptation, based on Stephen King's best-selling horror novel of the same name. The poster has a blood-streaked face of the shy high school student (played by Chloë Grace Moretz) who comes to grips with her telepathic powers. She uses these powers to take revenge on her classmates for humiliating her publicly.

The poster's wish? "Have A Very Carrie Christmas”. The film is due to release in March 2013.
Additionally, the Hobbits team wishes you Happy Holidays "from our shire to yours". The recently released film is first of a three-part prequel to the Lord Of The Rings movie trilogy. The picture features the dwarves at the supper table with Bilbo Baggins and the wizard Gandalf.
Lastly, Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark stands and welcomes the falling snow and wishes you "Happy Holidays" in the latest image to emerge from Iron Man 3. The film pits the brash-but-brilliant industrialist (Downey Jr) against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds (The Mandarin; Ben Kingsley). As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?
In India, film publicity banners wish viewers on/around Diwali, Eid and Christmas releases but rarely when their films are a long way off. Maybe a change is in order?
