Harvey Weinstein, the disgraced film producer, was permanently banned from the exclusive Vanity Fair’s Oscars Party because of his incessant behaviour. According to the former Vanity Fair Editor, Graydon Carter, Harvey was disrespectful.
Harvey Weinstein’s Banishment
In an interview with Page Six, Carter shared some details about the exclusive Hollywood parties. Weinstein, who was once a respected and established producer in the Hollywood industry, received a lifetime ban due to his rude and disrespectful behaviour towards the staff. The only person who was banned for life, Harvey Weinstein regularly showed up with more guests than his invitation indicated and would bully the staff members.
“He got banned from everything because he was rude to the staff and I didn’t like that,” Carter revealed. Additionally, the ban was temporarily lifted, only to get banned - again.
Carter explicitly mentioned that the behaviour was not because of alcohol or that Harvey was in an inebriated state, it was solely because of his internal instincts and the behaviour within him.
Graydon disclosed that he used to keep a ‘complaint box,’ where the staff could nominate celebrities for banishment.
Graydon Carter, who served as the Editor of Vanity Fair from 1992 to 2014, started the legacy of Oscar’s afterparty in 1994.
