Cavill elaborated on his stance, acknowledging that while there are instances where such scenes can enhance storytelling, he said, "I think sometimes they're overused these days."

Elaborating further, he said, "It’s when you have a sense that you’re going ‘Is this really necessary? Or is it just people with less clothing on?’"

The 'Man of Steel' actor emphasized the importance of leaving elements to the viewer's imagination, suggesting that the human imagination often surpasses explicit visuals. While acknowledging that well-executed sex scenes can contribute positively to a film's storytelling, Cavill cautioned against relying solely on overtly sexual content as a substitute for substantive storytelling.
