Heidi, Seal's hush-hush India visit

Supermodel Heidi Klum and husband Seal were in and out of Benaras before anyone could notice; attended the Ganga Aarti
Heidi, Seal's hush-hush India visit
German model and actress Heidi Klum and her Grammy award-winning musician-husband Seal’s fascination with Benaras continues.
The couple came and enjoyed a brief holiday on their second visit to the city of ghats less than a fortnight ago. Heidi and Seal had earlier come to Benaras a few years back, and were so awestruck by what they saw that after their return, they renewed their wedding vows on their fifth wedding anniversary with traditional Hindu customs in 2010 on a beach in Mexico, with a priest especially flown down from Benaras to do the honours.
“Exhibiting a sense of familiarity with the city, both Heidi and Seal behaved like ordinary tourists and went and met people on the ghat.

They were so besotted with the Ganga Aarti that they went for two evenings to attend the aarti, which is organised by the Ganga Sewa Nidhi at Dashashwamedha Ghat. They were welcomed by the president of the organization, Satyendra Mishra,” informed Arvind Singh, who met the couple on the ghats.
A keen photographer, Seal captured the city on his camera, especially the intricate network of lanes where he and Heidi spent a lot of time walking. Ramnagar Fort was also part of their itinerary, sources said. Heidi showed a great interest in shopping and also bought a jadau payal (anklet) from there. “Heidi and Seal were at our showroom for more than an hour, as Heidi was keen to buy some Indian jewellery. She checked out several necklaces and bracelets, but ultimately decided on a jadau payal in silver,” said Akshat Agarwal, a partner in a prominent jewellery showroom in Benaras.
