California Museum

in Sacramento, reported Contactmusic.


On December 1, an exhibit of the inductees' items, including Ford's Indiana Jones costume from 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' and Takei's 'Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home' costume, will go on display at the Hall of Fame.

"I am a proud second-generation Californian, humbled to be honoured by a state singular in its beauty, diversity and dynamism," Takei said. Former state Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Shriver established the California Hall of Fame in 2006. There are currently 96 inductees.

Veteran actor Jeetendra played the role of a sensitive teacher Ravi in ‘Parichay,’ who not only develops a deep bond with his students but also brings them closer to their guardians.
Sushmita Sen’s portrayal of a chemistry teacher in ‘Main Hoon Na’ left many gasping for their breath. Sushmita redefined the way female teachers were portrayed on silver screen. In the film, her bold avatar in bright coloured chiffon saris and halter neck blouses set the viewers adrenalin rushing.
Shahid's extended cameo in 'Paathshala' was well appreciated in the film that talked about commercialisation of education. Shahid played the role of music teacher Rahul Udyavar, who strikes instant rapport with students and teachers alike and unifies teachers and students to stands up and fight against the atrocities of school management.
‘Rockford,’ directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, narrated the story of a teenager Rajesh in Rockford Boy's High School, a boarding school. The film portrays the relationship between Rajesh and his PT teacher Johnny Matthews, played by Nagesh. In the film, Johnny teaches Rajesh some of the most important lessons of life.
Naseeruddin Shah is best remembered for his role as fun-loving Amar Verma in ‘Sir,’ who was more of a friend that just a teacher to his students and goes out of the way to help them in difficult times. This was one of the best performances of Naseer's career.
In ‘Chak De! India,’ Shah Rukh Khan plays the role of a hockey coach Kabir Khan, who is given the task of coaching a women’s hockey team. He not only unites them as a team but also makes them win the prestigious championship.
In ‘Stanley Ka Dabba,’ Stanley (Partho Gupte) plays the role of an orphan, who tries to cope up with his Hindi teacher Verma (Amol Gupte). However, with the help of Ms Rosy (Divya Dutta), Stanley overcomes the odds.
